Andrei Bondarenko opens Dallas Opera season as Eugene Onegin

Having made his U.S. operatic debut with the company in 2015, Andrei Bondarenko now returns to the Dallas Opera to open the company’s 2016-17 season. The Ukrainian baritone headlines Jean-Claude Auvray’s production of Eugene Onegin, starring as Tchaikovsky’s aristocratic antihero under the baton of TDO music director Emmanuel Villaume.

Andrei leads a multinational cast, starring opposite Russian soprano Svetlana Aksenova as Tatiana, Estonian mezzo-soprano Kai Rüütel as Olga, and American tenor Stephen Costello as Lensky.

Eugene Onegin opens on October 28 with encore performances presented on October 30 and November 2 and 5. Click here for more information.
